KICK OFF TO MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

Boardwalk Makeover Presents Boardwalk Blast Starting Tonight – The Boardwalk Makeover Organization is set to kick off the summer season with nightly activities. Tonight from 6:30 – 9:30, enjoy Mojo Collins playing on the Gazebo stage. Friday night, come out to hear Machine Gun at 6:30. They also have plenty of activities to keep you busy all week along such as Family Night on Tuesdays, Cash Bingo on Wednesdays, Shaggin’ on Friday, Kids’ Bingo on Saturday and Trop Rock DJ on Sundays. Carolina Beach Film and Fireworks Series Kicks Off This Friday – A sure sign that summer is coming is the start of the Chamber’s Film and Fireworks Series. The Fireworks will help ring in the start of the season this Friday night at 9:00 p.m. on the beach strand in front of the Boardwalk. (NOTE: For Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends, the fireworks will take place on Friday night. Otherwise, plan to see them every Thursday at 9:00). On Sunday night, join us at the Carolina Beach lake Park for our first movie, Bolt, playing at 8:45 p.m. Both of these wonderful events are FREE. So pack up your lawn chairs and head on down to Carolina Beach for some good ol’ family fun.

Step Up for Soldiers Children’s Fishing Day - On May 30th from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Step Up For Soldiers will be hosting a Children’s Fishing Day. All children of active duty military personnel are invited to partake in this free day of fishing. Breakfast and Lunch will be served and each child will receive a prize or gift. Beach Music is just around the Corner – On June 6th, we will be celebrating the 24th Annual Beach Music Festival!
